1. Describe the vehicle and pickup
Provide the make, model, approximate year and actual condition. Explain whether it starts, rolls and steers, and include known faults or missing parts. For trucks, vans, utes and 4x4s, mention body type, equipment and significant modifications. Give the pickup suburb and describe access restrictions.
2. Discuss an individual assessment
The team may need photographs or further details before an offer can be confirmed. Ask what is included, which checks remain and whether the vehicle can be collected from its present position. A quote for another vehicle does not establish yours; consider the actual vehicle and full arrangement.
3. Agree on the purchase and collection
Confirm the accepted amount, payment arrangements and documents needed to establish authority to sell. Free removal applies to accepted purchases after suitable access and scheduling are agreed. Explain deadlines early and wait for a confirmed booking before planning other work around removal.
4. Prepare and hand over
Remove belongings, tools, toll tags and garage remotes that are not part of the purchase where safe. Keep keys and agreed documents ready. Tell the team about changes to the condition or access before arrival. Retain the agreed sale and handover details for reference.
